Biotoise by birth, I practically always lived in the village. From my childhood, I participated in major festivals of the time, including the Grape, Mimosa and Pottery Festival which brought thousands of visitors to Biot. I grew up, got married and throughout these years, I saw the arrival of many great artists like Fernand Léger, Melano, the Brice family, the designer R. Peynet, the jewelers C. Pelletier, Torun, D Essayie… I attended the construction of the Fernand Léger museum, the creation of the Verrerie de Biot by the Monod family, and the establishment of the Sophia Antipolis technology park. I have seen Biot transform from a small village to a vibrant city. What makes the charm of our city is that the village atmosphere still reigns thanks to the osmosis of a population that keeps this intergenerational link. I am particularly happy to have been in charge of the Festival Committee from 2002 to 2008 and then to have taken over the Amicale Biotoise des Traditions within which we find the elders who transmit to us this love of traditions, sharing and conviviality . Currently, the Association manages 6 festivals including the Mimosa Festival in February, the Garoupe Pilgrimage in May, the Saint John Fire, a notorious participation in the Saint Julien Festival in August as well as the Harvest Festival in September and the Chestnut Festival. I hope that this will continue for a long time for the pleasure of all Biotois as well as for the visitors who are very fond of this kind of events. I particularly appreciate the contact with the people I meet during the organization of these festive days and the life within the team of volunteers who work alongside me. I currently live outside the village, but I miss contact and I feel the need to come and have a coffee, exchange a few words with the "natives". My greatest wish and happiness would be to end my life in the village.
