I was born in Biot in 1934 and I arrived at the Arcades in 1952, I fell in love with this place because Biot is my life, there is no more beautiful than Biot, my village is the dream ...We then took over in 1952 with my husband a tobacco located on the place of the Arcades where we only sold Boyards, Gitanes, Gauloises, gray tobacco, coarse salt, slippers and sweets all that is missing in a village. Then came the hotel, the restaurant and the art gallery. The gallery of the restaurant started thanks to a lady who brought me everything Madame Jeanne CASTEL, and for anecdote one evening around the years 1954-57 I receive a call from this lady who wants a table for 15 politicians, there then had Paul REYNAUD, Antoine PINAY, and so on, the meal ends and this lady comes to see me and said "Mimi I see you like paintings" yet I had only one "Marcel MOULY She then sent me fifteen works. So we decided to pay tribute to this great lady for me by naming the gallery of her name.Around the years 1977 following many meals taken in my restaurant of the Arcades, Master PAPILLARD invited me with my husband to come to his castle or is organized a Vasarely exhibition, when we arrived we thought we were in a fairy tale and here I am presented to Vasarely and suddenly I say, Master, I wish so much to have an exhibition of you in my "Cellar", which had become a gallery. 2 years later, I get a call from Master PAPILLARD who says to me "Mimi you believe in Santa Claus? You have exclusive exhibition Vasarely. The exhibition lasted 15 years. All this to tell you that I have not been to school, I was curious, I am self-taught and the end of the story is to always keep its simplicity.
