Anne-Gaëlle Arnaud is an artist who grew up in Biot. The direct relationship with local landscapes giving off a powerful charm no doubt led her to paint motifs from this universe. A lot of great artists were inspired by the light and energy of the French Riviera : Cézanne, Matisse or even Nicolas de Staël to whom Anne-Gaëlle makes a brilliant tribute with "Hommage à Staël"; all of them felt the magnetic power that emerges from these places.
Anne-Gaëlle seized it to create paintings that give off the same energy as what they represent. A sailboat is transformed in an incandescent red flame. The image of the sailboat, abstract, turns into a symphony of colors ... these punctuate the pictorial logic of the painting, which is a real ode to movement.
In "Le port d'Antibes", the sailboats are waiting, their masts touch the sky towards
the eternal, in the background the landscape falls asleep, waiting for new
morning ...
In her paintings, Anne-Gaëlle Arnaud gives us each time a little more of herself, her calm and intensity, leaving us waiting for her next revelation.
