Bee Riviera, the beekeepers of the Alpes Maritimes, produce a local honey only from the department!
500 beehives in the Alpes Maritimes between Biot, Gourdon, Vallauris, Sospel, Isola and many other communes, Bee Riviera is developing honey production throughout the department! The objective is to produce a local honey that comes "almost" from the garden of its inhabitants. Through agreements with town halls and private individuals, Bee Riviera's local beekeepers are constantly looking for new land in new communes to diversify their production and preserve the bee throughout the region.
Establishing their hives in the department was the first step. The second step, to remain in line with their "local honey production" approach, was to set up the honey house in the area, and this will be in Biot, the heart of the Bee Riviera beekeepers. The shop allows the products to be marketed, showcased and the story of the honeys presented to be told as one would tell the story of a wine!
