Jacky Coville was born on March 20th, 1936, in Sèvres (France). After a career as an aeronautical engineer, he left his design office to devote himself to ceramics.
In 1976, Jacky Coville bought, in Biot, the workshop of Roland Brice, who was ceramist for Fernand Leger.
Jacky Coville exhibits his works since the 1970s, in France and around the world. His works have been presented since 1976 in Japan, Germany, Belgium, and are regularly exhibited in Italy.
With many awards, such as the gold medal of Faenza or Vallauris, his sculptures are often exhibited in situ, as at the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art in Nice or in the fountain Saint-Sulpice in Paris, but also acquired by large institutions (FRAC Ile-de-France, National Library of France, Museum of Decorative Arts of Paris, Museum of Sèvres ...).
